Camondo Stairs in Istanbul

The Camondo Stairs are a historic stairway in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, Turkey. The stairs were built in the 19th century and were designed by the French architect Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, who is best known for creating the Eiffel Tower in Paris. 

The stairs are named after the Camondo family, a wealthy Jewish banking family living in Istanbul in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Camondo Stairs are a popular tourist attraction in Istanbul and are known for their grand size and ornate design. The stairs are made of marble and have a total of 85 steps, which lead up to a terrace overlooking the Bosphorus Strait. 

The stairs are adorned with intricate decorative elements, including marble balustrades and wrought iron railings.
