Istanbul Princes Islands

The Princes Islands (Turkish: Adalar) are a group of nine islands located in the Sea of Marmara, off the coast of Istanbul. The islands are a popular destination for locals and tourists alike and are known for their natural beauty, historic landmarks, and peaceful atmosphere.

There are four main islands in the Princes Islands group: Büyükada, Heybeliada, Burgazada, and Kınalıada. Each island has unique character and charm and is worth visiting for its own reasons.

Büyükada is the largest and most famous of the Princes Islands and is known for its historic mansions, horse-drawn carriages, and stunning views of the Sea of Marmara.

Heybeliada is the second-largest island known for its sandy beaches, pine forests, and historical landmarks.

Burgazada is the third largest island known for its beautiful beaches, charming villages, and historic churches. Kınalıada is the smallest and least developed of the Princes Islands and is known for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful beaches.

The Princes Islands are easily accessible from Istanbul by ferry, and there are regular boat services from several points in the city. The journey takes around an hour, and the islands are a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet.
