Seven Regions of Turkey

Turkey is divided into seven regions for administrative purposes:

Marmara: The Marmara region is located northwest of Turkey and includes the cities of Istanbul, Bursa, and Tekirdağ. The area is known for its industrial centres, cultural attractions, and natural beauty.

Aegean: The Aegean region is located in the west of Turkey and includes the cities of İzmir, Manisa, and Aydın. The area is known for its beautiful beaches, ancient ruins, and delicious cuisine.

Mediterranean: The Mediterranean region is located in the south of Turkey and includes the cities of Antalya, Mersin, and Adana. The area is known for its sunny climate, beautiful beaches, and ancient ruins.

Central Anatolia: The Central Anatolia region is located in the centre of Turkey and includes the cities of Ankara, Konya, and Nevşehir. The area is known for its rich history, cultural attractions, and natural beauty.

Black Sea: The Black Sea region is located in the north of Turkey and includes the cities of Trabzon, Ordu, and Giresun. The area is known for its beautiful coastline, mountains, and forests.

Eastern Anatolia: The Eastern Anatolia region is located in the east of Turkey and includes the cities of Erzurum, Kars, and Ağrı. The area is known for its rugged landscape, natural beauty, and cultural attractions.

Southeastern Anatolia: The Southeastern Anatolia region is located in the southeast of Turkey and includes the cities of Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, and Mardin. The area is known for its ancient ruins, cultural attractions, and natural beauty.
