Today, SMO (social media optimization) is the most reliable and affordable way to drive traffic to a website. In a nutshell, we're going back to the good old days when "content was king".

When we think of social media promotion, the first names that come to mind are probably Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Instagram.

I met QUORA when I wanted to find a medium where I could use my writing skills to drive traffic to my website.

Most of the questions I searched for were long-tail keywords, and every time I typed into Google, I got Quora links in front of me.

I clicked on some of these links. The information provided by Quora users was candid, informative and precise.

Most importantly, the variety of answers gave a different perspective to my questions and content. I studied the platform some more and the next day I was a new member of Quora.

What is Quora?

Quora, which is among the top 100 websites according to Alexa, currently has close to 4.6 million registered users. It is essentially a simple Q&A site. Quora reaches over 3.1 million people in the US alone.

Despite my passion for writing and being able to help others, sometimes I really need to convince myself to write something.

After noticing that most of the answers on the platform are superficial and short, I realized that more detailed and in-depth content can get good feedback.

It is important to use the available space correctly and consistently, as Quora gives you the option to create your short bio.

If your responses go viral, you can expect many users to visit your profile. A cluttered profile will get them nowhere. Think of your profile page as a landing page for your website.

Once your profile is set up properly, Quora will show you popular questions asked in the categories you subscribe to in your feed.

You can also gain valuable insights by analyzing which of your answers are read more often.

  • Don't write about things you don't know!
  • Give sincere and sincere answers. Show that you really want to help.
  • Your goal should not be to promote your website.
  • Prioritize users who are curious about your answers.
  • Comment on answers posted by others.
  • Write in categories you trust yourself.
  • Use bullet points to simply split the answers.
  • Also, don't write one line of "wise words".
  • Show that you are an authority on the subject matter.
  • Use images, quotes, statistics, and backstories/case studies to add depth to my answers.

The critical point is this: don't answer a question just for the sake of answering a question. You must have a passion for writing informative answers.

The right way to get traffic is to write a great answer with a sincere effort and then share a link at the end of the answer.

Asking a question and then answering that question is another strategy you can use to drive a good amount of traffic to your blog.

Quora, the place for those who love to write, is the future of ethical content marketing.

And it's a great way to drive traffic.

I would be extremely happy if you let me know other methods you use to drive traffic from Quora in the comments below.
